Welcome to Purple Wolf Pottery, a ceramic studio built on craftsmanship, resilience, and intentional making. This space exists to share not only the work I create, but the story behind it—how clay became both a creative outlet and a grounding force through many stages of my life.
My journey as an artist has not been linear or easy. Like many creatives, I’ve faced periods of uncertainty, personal hardship, and moments where continuing to create felt difficult. During those times, working with clay became a constant—something steady when other parts of life felt unstable. Ceramics taught me patience, adaptability, and trust in the process, lessons that continue to shape both my work and who I am as an artist today.
I work primarily with high-fire ceramics, creating functional pieces that carry a sculptural presence. Each mug, vessel, or form is meant to be used, held, and lived with, while still honoring the artistic process behind it. I focus heavily on form, balance, and subtle detail—how a piece feels in the hand, how it holds weight, and how it exists in everyday life. These considerations are just as important to me as the finished surface.
Clay has a way of reflecting growth. It cracks, warps, fails, and surprises you—and learning to respond rather than control has been a powerful part of my practice. The unpredictability of high-fire ceramics mirrors the challenges I’ve faced personally: not everything turns out as planned, but there is value in adapting, learning, and continuing forward. Each firing becomes a reminder that progress often comes through trial, error, and persistence.
